Tsushima Campus, the main campus of the University, is located in the northern part of Okayama City. It takes about 10 minutes from Okayama Station by bus. Shikata Campus is situated at the southern part of Okayama City

Special Programs for International Students
The International Student Center Japanese Language Program is open to all international students on campus. Students are placed into the appropriate level of class according to their Japanese language ability and aims.
Service for International Students
There is a dormitory available for international students which accommodates 132 single students. Through the International Student Office, students are able to apply for various scholarships, Comprehensive Renter's Insurance for Foreign Students Studying in Japan, Medical Expenses Reimbursement,Out-of Status Activities Permission and Extension of Period of Stay.*As for the Out-of Status Activities Permission and Extension of Period of Stay, the International Office is able to apply for the Out-of Status Activities Permission and Extension of Period of Stay documents to the Immigration Bureau on behalf of the students. Students can apply for admission fees and tuition fees exemption at the Students Support Division. A program for deepening international students' and Okayama citizens' undestanding of Japanese traditional culture will also be held once a year.
Comments & Latest Information
Okayama University has concluded Agreements of international exchange with many foreign universities and institutions and has been exchanging students, faculty staffs and research information and making collaborative researches, instructional and cultural programs. In some of these universities and institutions students can take academic courses or study under the supervisor and will not be charged any tuition for the exchange period within one academic year. As of November 1, 2005 Okayama University has 116 exchange partners in 28 countries and areas.
