Chiba University consists of nine faculties, the university library, the university hospital and other educational and research facilities. Chiba University aims to encourage students to develop personal autonomy and problem-solving ability through intensive academic training in a wide range of disciplines as well as through promoting interdisciplinary knowledge. It is also extending the frontiers of its international activities by establishing new cooperative relations with numerous universities overseas in the areas of student and academic exchange and joint research.
